Well, I have a goal to someday learn to make socks. A real sock with a heel and everything. I have collected a small stash of sock yarn. Who can resist that self patterning fingering weight??? I even have some Imagination handpainted sock yarn from Knit Picks called Wicked Witch.
I started an ankle sock from a Bernat Free Pattern leaflet last Monday at Sock Therapy, my local knitting group's sock only meeting. I managed to cast on and work the k1p1 ribbing in the pattern. My sock was slowly starting to take shape. Unfortunately that shape would fit on both of my feet at the same time!!! I haven't finished the body of the sock yet, so I frogged the sucker. I just finished casting on the next smaller size in the pattern and knitting a few k1p1 rows.
I have Sock Therapy again tomorrow evening. Will I ever get to the heel?? Am I doomed to forever be knitting tube socks for the rest of my life?? Help me Obi Won Kenobi, you are my only hope!!!!
